LATEST NEWS!!
Congratulations to CH CA-Beavercrk's Best Kpt Secret, CGC (Tori) and owner Lola Thorsness. Tori won another Group 4 in September 2007 and a Group 3 in October 2007! She had a previouis Group 4 placement before these. These were all done before she turned 2 in November! Way to go, Tori and Lola! Tori is now on her way to being a mother with puppies due this month (April). It is my understanding all the pups are already spoken for.
Congratulations to California Regal Cacao Dianne, CGC, CDX, RE, AX, AXJ, MX, MXJ, TDI (Cay Cay) and owners Butch and Sheila Norckauer. Cay Cay is well on her way to earning her MACH which, at this time, would be the first American Water Spaniel to earn one. As of now, she is the #1 agility American Water Spaniel with AKC. Cay Cay, Butch and Sheila live in Guntersville, Alabama.
Congratulations to California Coast Redwood Burl, RN, TT (Burl) and owners Martha & John Sbarbori. Burl has received in February and March two majors and two Best of Breed at shows. He is only 3 points away from his Championship. He also received his Rally Novice title and his Temperament Testing title.
Congratulations to California All That's Magical, CGC (Maggie) and owners Lorraine & John Tufts. Maggie won't be a year old until June 2008 and she already has two majors under her belt! She earned a major in February and in March of this year. She is well on her way to becoming a Champion. She is a half sister to Tori above. Maggie also earned her CGC in February (Canine Good Citizenship). Lori has also started field work with Maggie.
Congratulations to CH California Chocolate Chip JH (Callie). Callie received her Championship title in March of this year. I was going to finish her Senior Hunter Title but decided to breed her so her SH title will have to wait a little while. She is halfway there to earning it. Callie turned 3 years old last November. I flew a male out here from Mississippi. I did an ultrasound and she is with pups so new puppies will be here in May.
I have had some great phone calls, letters and emails from puppy owners. Here are just a couple of examples:
From Arnold Meyen, Oceanside, CA - Buck made his hunting debut yesterday at Four Winds Pheasant Club. He flushed four birds. I dropped all four.He retrieved 2 birds and chased down one cripple and stood on it with his front paws and tail wagging until I got to it. He still has a ways to go but I could not have asked for a better 1st hunt. Buck was 7 months old in January when he had his first hunt.
From Cynthia Pinholster, Las Cruces, NM - Alex continues to entertain us constantly! He's very intelligent, Linda. He's done so well with all the commands we learned in doggy class and with the tricks I've taught him at home. And, he's just so handsome! We're anxious for our spring season to arrive, so we can swim and play in the water again.
From Joe Ducato, Santa Clara, CA - This was the last day of duck season and Stella made 7 retrieves. She is the best I've ever had and so loving. I'm madly in love with her. Thanks so much. (Stella is only 7 months old here.)
From Erik Romanczuk, Philadelphia, PA - Nuge is absolutely great in the field. I couldn't ask for a better puppy. (Nuge is only 7 months old and working the field)
From Nan Von Gunten, Merced, CA - Jenny is so sweet and is working out great as a therapy dog. Here is a picture of her doing her therapy work walking with a woman who needs help picking things up if she drops them.
